What exactly does this site do for me? (What is a free host?)
A Free Host is a website that allows you to host webpages for free. Usually in return, injecting ads into your pages. I'm still debating on whether or not I even want to try that. It would be nice to have some kind of money come out of this.
I linked to a file I know is on the server (I see it in my file manager list) and the link doesn't work!
That's not really a question, but here is the answer: the server is CaSe-SenSitive. This means that the file Bob.avi and bob.AVI are two different files. Your markup needs to match the name on the server.
Why did you set this up?
Because I can. Not only that though, I was hoping that I could give learners of HTML a place to show off their developing skills.
Why does this site look like such crap?
I'm not selling anything. It exists solely as a programming exercise, it really isn't meant to look good. Also, it relects my feelings of nostalgia for DOS.
Where to report violations of the ToS?
Violations should be reported to cannisNOSPAM@cannisNOSPAMgroup.net (remove NOSPAM from the address before sending obviously). I plan to code an injector to automatically add a "Report Violation" link to hosted pages, in the mean time this will have to do. Please add CannisGroup to the start of your message. Doing so will reduce the amount of time required to respond.
